George Abbes is an immigration attorney with over four decades of legal experience, known for his discretion, precision, and unwavering commitment to his clients.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law and was admitted to practice in 1982. In 1995, he joined the Orange County Public Defender’s Office, where he spent 14 years representing clients in some of the most serious and complex criminal cases, including major felonies and homicide. During this time, he was also entrusted with training fellow attorneys on how to navigate and avoid the immigration consequences of criminal convictions.
In 2009, Mr. Abbes returned to private practice, focusing on immigration law. His rare combination of criminal defense and immigration experience allows him to approach each case with a deeper level of strategy and insight—particularly when a client’s future in the United States is at risk.
Today, he represents individuals and families seeking lawful status, as well as those facing removal proceedings. His work is defined by thoughtful advocacy, careful attention to detail, and a genuine understanding of what is at stake.
